Subject: Desktop shortcuts reappear when launching Standard client
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.5
Reproducible: Always

Hello,

We've explicity prevented the creation of the "Lotus Notes 8.5" Desktop shortcut during the installation of the Notes client. This was sucessfully done using the method described here (http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21205546)

However, when a user launches the Standard client for the first time, the "Lotus Notes 8.5" Desktop shortcut reappears. This does not happen when launching the Basic client. Has anyone else run into this? It seems that the process of creating the user's "workspace" folder has something to do with it. Our best guess is that this process ignores what was determined in the customized installation and implements the Desktop shortcut regardless.

Any advice would be appreciated!
